Post Resettlement Program Coordinator

THE OPPORTUNITY

While most of the media focuses on the politics surrounding North Korea, we focus on the people: their potential to drive change, and our opportunity to stand with them. Our post-resettlement programs are designed to empower North Koreans who are at different stages of resettlement.

As Program Coordinator, you will be particularly involved in supporting North Koreans in their first year of resettlement and ensuring that the transition into their new lives in South Korea is smooth and successful. This is your opportunity to build a network of support for newly resettled North Koreans who are key partners in fulfilling LiNK’s vision and some of the most powerful agents of change in this issue.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage and form meaningful relationships with LiNK program participants and volunteers
Recruit the best participants for LiNK’s post-resettlement programs
Create supporting materials and documents
Work with the post-resettlement team in organizing and coordinating program events and activities
Assist in the development and execution of monitoring and evaluation systems
Manage program budgets
Contribute to developing post-resettlement programs
Provide necessary data and information to program stakeholders
Stay up to date on government policies regarding the post resettlement of North Korean refugees
Translate and assist in filling in other organizational needs outside of the scope of the programs

REQUIREMENTS
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead, coach, and motivate participants
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement
Ability to work well independently and also within a collaborative, multi-cultural team
Native-level Korean fluency and strong written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency is a strong plus)
Passion and interest in supporting the North Korean people
Must be available for some domestic travel and weekend events

Experience & Education
Previous work experience with North Korean people and/or other direct social services

자격요건
프로그램 참가자들을 지도, 코칭 및 동기부여 시킬 수 있는 뛰어난 대인 관계 기술
문제해결 능력 및 업무 프로세스를 개선 할 수 있는 통찰력
상황에 따라서 독립적으로, 혹은 다문화 팀 내에서 협력적으로 일을 잘 할 수 있는 능력
북한이탈주민 혹은 사회복지 관련 업무 경험
뛰어난 한국어 말하기/쓰기 능력 (능숙한 영어 실력은 우대사항)
북한 이슈에 대한 열정과 관심
탈북인 또는 사회복지와 관련한 업무 경험자 우대

국내 출장 및 주말 행사가 종종 있을 수 있음
